Legends of the Round Table - For Olwen's Hand

For Olwen’s Hand is the very first downloadable adventure for Legends of the Round Table! Inspired by ancient Welsh legends, this epic tale will lead four of your most seasoned knights along the steep paths of Mount Cadair y Cawr. Seeking the fair Olwen, with whom one of them has fallen madly in love after a dream, they will have to win over her father, the giant Ysbaddaden, renowned for demanding the completion of three downright impossible quests in exchange for his daughter’s hand. But what nobler reason than love could ever be invoked to attempt the impossible?

Unique artwork
True to the Legends of the Round Table tradition, this adventure features spectacular all-new artwork, entirely hand-crafted by our illuminator in keeping with the traditional techniques of the 13th century. Marvel at the soft, warm colours of Modron’s garden, admire the iridescent hues of Llyn Llyw, the Salmon of Knowledge, shudder in the dank lair of Diwrnach, and meet Ceridwen in her house entwined in the hair of a thousand-year-old giant.

Harps and song!
For this first adventure on the theme of the quest for love, we explored with Anne Azéma the medieval song “L’on dit q’amors est dolce chose,” which's lyrics we adapted into English to suit our Welsh adventure. We also worked with harps to evoke a medieval Celtic atmosphere. This gives the adventure a distinctive mood, and we hope it will charm you!

Since the October 2026 update, we have developed a brand-new feature that reads your saved games and generates a printable medieval novel from them. For Olwen’s Hand is fully compatible with this feature.
