Cloud Gardener

High above the sea drift tiny floating islands, dry and waiting. You are the cloud gardener.

Cloud Gardener is a calm puzzle game set on miniature islands that look like toy dioramas on a table. Grab a fluffy cloud, carry it across the sky and squeeze out rain. The water soaks into the soil, runs down the terraces and gathers in hollows, and flowers bloom wherever it reaches.

Every island is a small puzzle: where should the rain fall so that it ends up exactly where it is needed? Rain on the highest terrace and the runoff waters the whole slope below. Pour too much and you drown the seedlings in a puddle. Roofs keep the rain off part of an island, and mountain peaks can split a heavy cloud in two.

There is no timer and no way to lose. Made a mistake? Rewind the world to just before your last move and try again.

Key features

• 45 hand-made islands on a world map shaped like a ring of islands in the sea
• Water that really flows: rain soaks in, runs downhill, pools in hollows and dries in the sun
• Seven kinds of ground: grass, soil, sand, stone, clay, volcanic ash and snow, each drinking and holding water in its own way
• Gardens that grow and spread: seeds sprout, flowers bloom and scatter new seeds, and butterflies and bees arrive when the garden comes to life
• Varied goals: grow flowers, fill lakes, soak meadows, keep a hollow dry, carry one cloud over two gardens, keep every plant alive
• Unlimited undo, no game over and no time pressure
• Up to three stars per island: make the garden bloom, do it with a single grab of a cloud, and use no more water than the island's par
• A tilt-shift diorama look with soft pastel colours, round chunky shapes and warm light
• Gentle acoustic music, soft rain and quiet nature sounds

Relax and watch your gardens bloom, or replay islands to master every one. When the last island flowers, a short ending scene awaits.
