ARK Tides of Fortune

Pull up a chair, Survivors. Everyone knows the legendary ARK veteran Bob - played by Karl Urban - but you haven't truly heard a tale until you've survived his swashbuckling exploits on the high seas. Hoist the sails and experience his next chapter of incredibly true adventures in ARK Tides of Fortune!

The simulated ocean of Genesis Ascended Part 1 has opened into a massive, map-wide nautical frontier. Chart a course across a vast sea, hunt for buried treasure, and clash with treacherous enemies in explosive naval combat. The new weapons, structures, cosmetics, and exotic creatures included in Tides of Fortune can be unleashed across the ARK universe, but the deep physics-driven waters of Genesis are where this swashbuckling arsenal truly comes alive.

NAVAL WARFARE:

• Naval Fleet:  Construct customizable seaworthy vessels at the Shipyard, including the swift Sloop, the towering Brigantine, and the majestic Galleon. Transform your ship into a true floating fortress by building out the decks, painting the hull, flying your own Jolly Roger, and sailing into battle with sea shanties ringing over the roar of cannon fire!

• Ship Combat: Take the helm to manually aim and fire your broadside cannons, either solo or as a cooperative multiplayer team! Utilize specialty ammo like Incendiary and Corrosive Cannonballs to give enemy armadas no quarter and send them to Davy Jones’ locker - all without micromanaging a crew.

• Ship Skill Tree: Customize your vessel's seafaring capabilities by investing your plunder across three distinct skill trees: Piracy, Merchant, and Luxury.

NEW CREATURES:

• Tidepup: As adorable as it is invaluable, this benevolent semi-aquatic salamander specializes in support, protection, and healing. Keep it as a Juvenile shoulder-pet to defend against incoming damage and dispel negative effects, or evolve it into a Mature rideable mount capable of creating a regenerative healing zone for your allies.

• Parrot: Your new feathery friend tracks valuable treasure sources like Cave Crates, Alpha Creatures, and enemy Ships. And by completing missions together, your Parrot can also earn Bonding Feathers, a wildcard resource which substitutes any imprint or passive tame requirement, with effectiveness scaling from your Parrot’s stats.

A CINEMATIC SAGA:

• Cinematic Cutscenes & Milestones: Track your survivor's journey through entirely new Milestones! Prove your mastery across a wide range of challenges - from commanding naval fleets and unearthing treasure, to conquering Genesis gauntlets and taming powerful X-Creatures. Achieve these milestones to earn points for deep specialization skill trees, while hitting major thresholds unlocks spectacular cinematic sequences starring Karl Urban as Bob and Auli'i Cravalho as Meeka, continuing the narrative into ARK’s future!

• Play as a Legend: Step directly into the boots of the myth himself! Tides of Fortune adds a third default character creation option, allowing you to play as ""Cinematic Bob"" - featuring the likeness and voice of Karl Urban. You can also equip Bob's signature look as a full-body cosmetic costume to bring his legendary style to your existing Survivor. All existing costumes, armor, hairstyles, and other cosmetics are compatible with Cinematic Bob!

NEW WEAPONS & TOOLS:

• Hand Cannon: A brutal, single-shot firearm loaded with unique Grapeshot ammo. It excels at close-quarters deck clearing, delivering massive knockback to forcibly launch boarding enemies and creatures right into the drink!

• Shovel: Bring your trusty shovel to sandy shores to unearth buried treasure caches revealed by drifting Treasure Map Bottles found across the ocean.

NEW STRUCTURES:

• Shipyard: A massive water-based drydock used to construct and deploy your majestic fleet.

• Aquatic Compartment: Build custom, water-filled enclosed rooms on land to breed your aquatic beasts or design the ultimate submerged smuggler's den.

• Cargo Ledger: Keep your plunder in shipshape order! This central logistics hub ties all your nearby storage crates together, letting you effortlessly track, organize, and pull exactly what you need from across your entire pirate haven.

• Market: Set up your own map-wide bazaar! This player-driven trading post lets you peddle your plunder, establish buy and sell orders, and cut deals using Hexagons. It also acts as an offshore Hexchange, giving you direct access to the HLN-A store across any ARK.

• Bounty Board: Turn your tribe into a crew of hired guns! This mission hub issues shared, repeatable dynamically-generated contracts to hunt down designated targets in exchange for a hefty haul of Hexagons.

• Fish Tank: Showcase your rarest ocean catches in an ornate aquarium adorned with detailing and customizable aquascapes, turning your favorite finds from the deep into a striking nautical centerpiece.

TREASURE HUNTS & ENCOUNTERS:

• High Seas Encounters: Take the fight to the open water! Engage in explosive ship-to-ship combat against hostile ships, raid coastal pirate encampments, and breach massive Ocean Outposts in thrilling, multi-phase fortress raids.

NEW COSMETICS & TILESETS:

• Structure Skins: Fully customize your pirate haven with the new Spanish Colonial Architecture tileset. Decorate your captain's quarters with pirate-themed storage boxes, a Hammock Bed, a Captain's Desk, oil lamps, and more!

• Player Outfits: Dress the part of a true buccaneer with the Scurvy, Fancy, or Captain Pirate outfits.

• Accessories: Complete your seaworthy look with the Eye Patch, Peg Leg, and a razor-sharp Cutlass Sword skin.

Every daring voyage begins with a map, a ship, and a fortune waiting beyond the horizon. Build your fleet, raise your colors, and boldly go to carve your legend across the ocean’s tides!
